Health Care Directive
A Health Care Directive is created to give an agent authority and ability to make health care decisions on your behalf. This applies while you are still alive, in situations where you are mentally incapable. The agent will not have the ability to make financial decisions on your behalf.
This document, and the agents named within it, have different official titles throughout Canada.
Please Note: There is no equivalent to a Health Care Directive in British Columbia. In B.C., you need to create a "Nomination of Committee" or a "Representation Agreement". A Nomination of Committee is offered as a separate product.
